My teaching experience began in 2001 as a result of of a suggestion by an intern I was supervising named Sharon Gray. She thought I would make a great teacher and forwarded me a job opportunity she saw at her school. Teaching was always something I thought about doing one day and so I took advantage of the opportunity.

I have learned many lessons from being in front of a classroom. Teaching is very rewarding, like nothing else in professional life I have experienced. There is nothing better than seeing the enthusiasm of a student and having that student succeed. Additionally I have learned how to talk more effectively in front of a group, communicate more clearly and explain how and why solutions work or don't work. This has not only helped me in the classroom, but with my professional work as well. I value all of my life's experiences when I teach as each and every one of them significantly impact the knowledge that I share.
